The Liminal — Buck Moon Cycle — June 2026
JULY 14, 2026 ⋅ BUCK MOON CYCLE ⋅ FIFTEENTH ISSUE ⋅ WWW.FOXANDTHISTLE.STUDIO
THE FOX & THISTLE LIMINAL A CREATIVE ALMANAC WEAVING TOGETHER ART, EXPRESSION, AND REFLECTIONS
Look Out For: Sunflowers shining, muscadines glistening, grasshoppers humming, goldfinches gathering, cicadas buzzing, katydids singing, tomatoes ripening, melons swelling, fawns growing, dragonflies skimming, thunderstorms rumbling, corn swaying, soybeans filling, crows stealing, pokeberries darkening, and thick dew everyday.
Look Up For: Mercury shines low in the east before sunrise, for the second half of July. Venus blazes in the western evening sky, while Saturn rises earlier each night, becoming a brilliant late-evening and pre-dawn sight. Around July 30, the Southern Delta Aquariid and Alpha Capricornid meteor showers peak together. By August 12th, moonless nights create ideal dark-sky conditions for stargazing and for watching the Perseid meteor shower reach its spectacular annual peak.
THE LIMINAL is published in concert with our FORTNIGHT CALENDAR, a free download is available for subscribers.
To mark one entire year of publishing THE LIMINAL inside its New Moon rhythm, this issue gathers selections from each edition into a chronological guide through its first complete solar cycle. Consider it an index, a map of the year, and an invitation to explore the archive.

There are them's that is
and them's that ain't
and them's that do & don't
There are them's that try
and them's that cain't
and them's that will or won't
There are them's that argue
and them's that shout
and them's that forever complain
But the thems that always

who never change

The hard way is the easy way
the easy way, the hard
the hard way is the holding on
the easy way the guard
the guard of all that came before
the ways things were, not are...
the easy way means backing up
the hard way leaves a scar
the paths they each blend and meld
they are both near and far
the hard way, it's not just easy
the easy way, it is not hard
